Well, we are 5 days away from our two-months-until-our-wedding mark. It’s funny because part of me feels like I have all of the time in the world until August 4th and another part of me realizes that 2 months is really not that much time at all! So depending on what day you discuss wedding plans with me on, will probably determine what tone of urgency I’ll have in my voice.
Although I don’t always love having to take time out of my day to work on wedding details, it has been fun to start seeing things really fall into place. Lately, I’ve been working on our invitations. We ordered our paper products from Paper And More, but I’m creating the layout of our invitation myself. I tend to be a bit picky about how my paper products look because I have a slight love for paper, so I just decided to make the invitations myself!
I don’t think I’m going to reveal our invitations until post-wedding, but I will tell you that they aren’t completely “traditional” wedding invites. They’re traditional, but they have a bit of a modern twist with a hint of vintage glam to them!
One thing that I can’t hold in any longer is the logo that we decided to go with. I just want to show someone because I love it so much! We’re using our logo on things from the invitations to the favors to little pieces of the reception…and maybe even more. We’re finding more and more places to put our logo as we go! So, here it is (please excuse my rubber stamping skills):
Doesn’t it look so awesome?! Again, overlook my adolescent stamping abilities. I need to practice! Eva Black did such a sweet job designing our logo – I can’t wait to start branding our wedding with our logo!!! My future sister-in-law loves the logo so much that she suggested that Phil & I should just permanently brand ourselves with this design. I like your thinking, Jess!
One more fun thing that I now have in my possession is a dress for the rehearsal dinner! I saw it on Instagram posted by Southern Jewlz and I knew immediately that it was the most perfect dress for the rehearsal. It’s kind of wrinkly in my picture, but it’ll be ironed out before August 3. No worries! I just love the open back and bow…so cute.
As the weeks continue to fly by, more and more details continue to be put into their places and I’m so excited for the day I get to see it all put together. Happy Wedding Wednesday, y’all!
