Anybody want to know the countdown until August 4th? 80 days. I get to marry my best friend in 80 days! And although that sounds like a lot of days to my eager-to-be-married ears, that’s only 2 and a half months…and I know that the time is going to fly by.
Our registry is coming along. I’ve been making a point to add a couple things to it everyday, as they pop in my head. And, a lot of your suggestions have helped give me ideas on things that I forgot to register for. So thank you to those of you who gave input on last week’s post!
In an attempt to put our “signature” on some of our things at the wedding, I asked my friend, Eva Black , who happens to be an amazing graphic designer to help me come up with a logo for our wedding. If Eva’s name sounds familiar to you, it could be because she designed the adorable banner at the top of my blog! Eva is a joy to work with & I love her design style. After she created the From Heels to Boots banner for me, I vowed to use her whenever I needed a graphic designer from that moment on out! The idea of having a logo for our wedding popped into my head and I knew Eva was the lady for the job!
I told Eva about the “Vintage Glam” theme of our wedding, and sent her some pictures of my wedding dress, the bridesmaids dresses and other items that I thought would help her get a feel for the style that I was wanting. She sent over some font possibilities, and Phil & I looked at them. I tend to be more “swirly” when it comes to my font choices, where as Phil, naturally tends to lean toward non-swirly fonts. I gave this feedback to Eva and as a result, she presented me with an abundance of logo options complete with fonts that both Phil and I loved.
So, I’m not going to tell you which logo we chose, but yes, we did already choose a logo.
I’m so excited and I can’t wait to start putting it on different pieces that we’re using at the wedding ceremony & reception! I hope you enjoy admiring the creativity of Eva as much as I did! If you ever have any graphic design needs, I seriously can’t think of one reason why you shouldn’t choose Eva! If you need to contact her, click on the link and it will give you multiple options to get a hold of her!
I know I tell you every time I send you an email, but thank you so much, Eva! You are a blessing to work with and I am so excited to display your talents throughout our wedding.
