Well, those of you who had been following my “30 Days on Cheese” posts are probably disappointed as I have not posted on that recently….let alone posted at all!
I spent last week Tuesday early morning until Saturday night traveling and in Nashville, Tennessee for the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association conference. I met some wonderful people there, learned some really valuable information pertaining to the beef industry and got close enough to Josh Turner at the Grand Ole Opry that I could’ve touched him! So naturally, I was a bit too busy to blog and I couldn’t cook my own food from the hotel. I can’t wait to share some of my experiences with you more later this week. I have some great stories!
I know in previous blog posts, I’ve mentioned that life gets busy & we have to figure out how to continue to make conscious efforts to eat healthy and live healthy lives through the madness. Well, I’ve been tested in that greatly. As many of you know, my Grandpa has been battling Leukemia for about 2 1/2 months now. He’s at home now and my family is very thankful that God continues to bless us with a bit more time with Grandpa. However, he is a very sick man and so we have had many family gatherings as well as many relatives coming to visit from out-of-state. In addition to that, there’s work and the rest of life mixed in with that…so I have found it quite difficult to religiously find time to blog about life’s happenings the past few weeks.
I wanted to thank you, my readers, for being patient with me. As a result of being out of the ranch office last week, my desk is now piled high with paperwork. More family is coming into town this weekend and the World Ag Expo is next week, which will take me out of the office again for a few days! All good things, but there’s only so many hours in a day for a gal to get stuff done.
Will be back as soon as I can to report on some of the great stuff I got to experience in Nashville. For now, I’m back to office work!
